Although very seasonal at the moment, our nubians are prolific milkers and provide wonderful,
rich and flavorful milk. Our plans should have us with milk available all year round.

A wonderful by product of our nubian milkers is the fact that we can make cheese. We have
made Cheddar, Colby, Zeigerhassel, Provolone, and a most wonderful Brie. We would surely
love to share our recipies with others.

A lucky find in our woods, we have about 10 very productive walnut trees. Although
hard to handle and clean, the gleenings of the sweet black walnut are wonderful to
the tongue in ice cream or a black walnut cake or pie.

We cultivated a wonderful stand of tame berries (thornless) at our last farm and are
moving some of them to us this year. Cross pollinated with the abundant wild berries,
this makes them juicier and bigger than a quarter.

A lot of people think we are nuts for this one, but the climate, soil and other conditions
are just perfect for this crop. Planting two year old plants this year should start our
market crop next year...wish us luck.

How better to guarentee a bumper crop of both berries than to start our own bee hives.
April of this year should see the arrival of our queens. Most local bee keepers say that
reep about 20 to 30 pounds of honey per year per hive...guess what all the relatives get!

Our black face sheep (5 of them) produce a lot of wool. Last year we sold it at auction. Anyone
wanting wool at a pre market price...contact us quick!
