2018 Community Service Award

For 32 consecutive years, NCTC has honored a deserving individual in the community who makes a difference in the lives of those around them.

Bobby Sircy holding community service awardThis year’s recipient is a truly deserving individual, and like most people who put others first, he never wants any attention or credit for the things he does.

If you ask him, he will tell you that he doesn’t do anything special and he just wants to help others when he can. If you ask others, they will tell you he always has a smile for everyone, he is extremely kind, and he goes above and beyond for the community. Those who nominated him say his positive disposition is contagious.

This individual is a very active member of the Al Menah Shriners. He travels to many places as a clown and to spread awareness of their organization.

He is involved with the Lafayette Rotary Club, to which he recently donated a laptop to both the Carthage and Lafayette Clubs to make it easier for them when they have programs. He donates time and money to Sherry’s Run, and he also donates supplies to local businesses. Additionally, he’s active with the Lions Club Hillbilly Days. He donates items and substantial money to several sports teams and organizations out of his own pocket without intentions of being recognized.

This year’s recipient is a long-time servant to his community and a well-known name to many. The 2018 NCTC Community Service Award Winner is Mr. Bobby Sircy. NCTC will be donating $1,000 to the Al Menah Shriners on Bobby’s behalf.
