Lafayette Receives National Recognition As Smart Rural Community
NCTC was one of only 13 companies in the nation that received the 2014 Smart Rural Community Showcase Award for innovative implementation of broadband solutions and promoting access to next-generation applications and platforms such as distance learning, tele-health services, public safety and security.
Broadband Enabled – Locally Driven – Globally Connected
The Smart Rural Community initiative promotes rural broadband networks that assist local communities with economic development, commerce, education, health care and government services. The initiative encourages collaboration between both community leaders and community members.
