Pause live TV for up to 30 minutes. After 30 minutes live TV will resume.

Restart live TV program from its beginning (network restrictions may apply). That means if you want to watch a show at 7:15, but it started at 7, you can start from the beginning if the programmer allows. Programs with restart functionality will be depicted by an image with a circle or dot in the middle. They will also appear in black on the programming guide when scrolling backwards.

CatchupTV lets you watch shows you missed within 72 hours of select national programming and up to 24 hours of select local and regional programming. (Network restrictions may apply.) These will be depicted with an image with a circle next to a counterclockwise arrow. They will also appear in gray on the programming guide when scrolling backwards. A special “Catchup TV” listing is also available in the navigation window.

Network DVR can record up to 150 hours of content and store for up to 120 days in the cloud. After 120 days the programs are automatically purged. You can purchase additional storage in 50 hour increments for $5 per month per block.

Watch TV Everywhere lets you view your favorite shows on the go on any connected device.

Most recent channels function lets you see the last 10 channels you have watched. This can be great for switching between two shows or sporting events.

Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) is a technology that give each viewer the maximum streaming resolution possible on your device. It can take a couple of seconds for the stream to adjust to the best ABR for your stream. That means that occasionally you’ll see a lower resolution image for a second or two before the stream adjusts to high resolution, most noticeable when changing channels.

Note: Emergency Alert System (EAS) notifications are only available when using a set-top box.

Is NCTC TV Internet TV?

Yes. NCTC TV uses your NCTC internet connection to stream content to your TV, tablet or smartphone for viewing whenever you want. It is a continuous flow that allows for accessing a piece of the data while the rest is still being received.

The faster your internet speed, the better your streaming quality will be. Fortunately, NCTC offers speeds up to a gigabit per second!

HOW DOES NCTC TV WORK?

Like Netflix, HULU and other streaming services, NCTC TV is an app-based service. When you subscribe to NCTC TV, you’ll download the app on your streaming device — Roku, Amazon Fire Stick, Smart TV or other device. You’ll have access to all the channels available in the package you subscribe to. There are four packages to choose from.

DO I NEED NCTC’S INTERNET SERVICE TO WATCH NCTC TV?

Yes. NCTC TV will not work with Verizon, AT&T, Comcast or other internet services.
